To be able to compete you will need to achieve a certain level of badge. Below you can see the criteria set to acheieve each badge.


Badge 1

  • Back pressure motion forwards
  • Front pressure motion backwards
  • Snow plough stop in control
  • Continuous skating 5 laps any position
Badge 2

Badge 2

  • Two footed glide length of the straight
  • Scooter on the bends speed distance
  • Sprint start understanding stepping
  • Continuous skating 5 laps right arm swings
Badge 3

Badge 3

  • Pushes on straights feet back together
  • 2 feet corner glide
  • Slalom 2 feet together
  • Continuous skating 5 laps both arms swing
Badge 4

Badge 4

  • Stars followed by a run up the straight
  • Push side to side on straights feet back together
  • 2 feet corner slide skate stance
  • Continuous skating 5 laps looking in/out bends
Badge 5

Badge 5

  • Straight glide stand on left leg
  • Straight glide stand on right leg
  • Static straight line crossovers
  • Skating 5 laps with scooter cross combination
Badge 6

Badge 6

  • Pushes up the straight side to side extended legs
  • Right leg corner glide balance
  • Left leg corner glide balance
  • Continuous skating 5 laps with crossovers

  • Sticky feet keep feet on the ice
  • 1 leg dip on the straight left leg toe on ice
  • 1 leg dip on the straight right leg toe on ice
  • Continuous skating 5 laps crossover both arms

  • Corning glide push hold Cross
  • Transfer of weight on straight pushes
  • Alternative leg dip each straight and glide no toe on ice
  • Continuous skating 5 laps no arms

  • Crossovers on bends left leg step/grab
  • Double dip skating on straights
  • Crossovers on bends right leg pushing
  • Continuous skating 5 laps from a start speed stance
Badge 10

  • Step placement on bends
  • Step placement on straights
  • 2 arm 1 arm no arm laps speed stance
  • Continuous skating laps faster than any 5 laps done before
